  • Is the boundary current, historical, administrative, customary, or ecological?
  • Does the source record a legal rule, an institutional report, an observed practice, or a resident experience?
  • Are names self-identifications, census categories, translations, or editorial groupings?
  • Does a total conceal distance, seasonality, affordability, safety, language, or uneven access?
